1. Membership
Oliey Gold is an optional recurring membership provided through Oliey Properties. It can be selected during an eligible property check-in instead of the standard refundable deposit option shown for that stay.
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. The membership belongs to the named guest and is not transferable.
2. Introductory period and automatic renewal
The current offer is GBP 0.00 for the first seven days. Unless cancelled before that included period ends, Oliey Gold automatically continues at GBP 9.99 per month and renews each month until cancelled.
Stripe displays the first paid renewal date before the guest confirms. Oliey also emails confirmation after enrolment and may send a reminder before that renewal.
3. Payment authority and saved cards
By starting the membership, you authorize Oliey to ask Stripe to charge the saved card for the monthly membership fee and any applicable taxes on each renewal date. Oliey does not receive or store the full card number or security code.
- All card types supported by Stripe are accepted, including prepaid cards and cards presented through supported digital wallets.
- Before Oliey Gold is activated, Stripe asks the card issuer to authorize GBP 50 to verify that at least GBP 50 is available. Oliey immediately cancels the authorization and captures GBP 0.00.
- The card issuer may continue to display the released GBP 50 authorization as pending for a short time. The issuer controls when that pending entry disappears.
- If the issuer declines the temporary GBP 50 authorization, Oliey Gold will not start and the guest must try another card.
- Stripe or the card network may automatically update an expired or replacement card when the issuing bank supports that service.
- If payment fails, Stripe or Oliey may retry it and ask you to update the payment method.
- You can securely replace the saved card through the Oliey guest dashboard.
4. Deposit option and stay-related charges
When the deposit-free membership option is accepted for an eligible booking, Oliey does not place the standard GBP 500 refundable deposit hold for that booking. This does not remove the guest's responsibility for the property or stay.
Oliey may separately seek payment for damage, missing items, exceptional cleaning, additional services, overstays, or other sums the guest expressly approved or is responsible for under the booking and stay terms. Any such charge must have a stated reason and reasonable supporting information. Nothing in these terms authorizes arbitrary or undisclosed charges.
5. Future price changes
Oliey may change the price of future membership periods to reflect changes in operating costs, taxes, membership benefits, or the way the service is supplied.
For an increase affecting an existing member, Oliey will email the new amount and effective date at least 30 days before it is charged. An increase is not retroactive and will apply no earlier than the first renewal after the notice period. You can cancel without a cancellation fee before the new price takes effect.
6. Benefits and service changes
Membership benefits may depend on the property, booking, dates, and availability. Oliey may add, improve, replace, or withdraw benefits for operational, safety, legal, supplier, or commercial reasons. Material reductions will be communicated in advance where reasonably possible, together with the option to stop renewal.
7. Cancellation and refunds
You can request cancellation anytime from the Oliey guest dashboard. When Stripe confirms that cancellation is scheduled, no further monthly renewal will be taken and access continues until the end of the current included or paid billing period.
Monthly fees already charged are not normally refunded for a billing period that has started, except for duplicate or incorrect charges or where the law requires a refund. Cancelling membership does not cancel an apartment booking.
8. Service emails and receipts
Oliey uses the booking email address for essential membership messages. These are service communications rather than marketing.
- Oliey Gold activation and subscription confirmation.
- A receipt after every successful paid membership invoice.
- Introductory-period, renewal, material service, and price-change notices.
- Failed-payment, card-update, and cancellation messages.
Keep the email address current and check filtered or spam folders. Stripe may also send its own payment or invoice communications.
9. Privacy and records
Oliey keeps the information needed to manage the stay, membership, billing status, support, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. Full card details remain with Stripe. Oliey may retain payment references, invoice status, card brand and last four digits, consent records, communications, and cancellation history.
Contact Oliey to ask about access, correction, or other applicable data rights.
10. Legal rights and responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer rights. Any statutory cooling-off right remains available. If you ask for membership benefits to begin during a cooling-off period, the legal treatment of services already supplied may still apply.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, without removing any mandatory protection or right to bring a claim available in the place where you live.
11. Questions, complaints, and changes to these terms
Oliey may update these terms for legal, security, operational, or service reasons. Material changes affecting an active membership will be emailed before they take effect. Changes will not remove accrued rights or create retroactive charges.
Questions, cancellation problems, billing disputes, and complaints can be sent to contact@oliey.com or through the contact page.
